Women Together

How about we women band together?
We fully research what we are calling out, calling in, and raising our voice too.
We ensure that we are knowledgeable about what we choose to speak of.
We do thorough self-education before we post, comment or ignite conversation.
We ensure our intentions are from a place of inquiry, camaraderie and service.
We do not put another sister on the pyre to draw attention, make noise or create a polarising opinion for our own benefit.
We own our tendency toward jealousy as a state of untruth designed to keep us divided, squabbling amongst ourselves and from the equality that is our birthright.
We attempt to engage in conversations with each other rather than about each other.
We meet conflict from a place of grounding and openness regardless of where the energy could go.
We sit in the discomfort of each other’s anger, sadness, rage, oppression and we witness.
We try on other’s words for flexibility and fit.
We either change or stay the course with what is our own truth.
We say “Thank you” for the courage of another to explain their experience and still do what is right for our soul path.
We honour the journey, sacrifice and experience of each other without judgement.
We recognise where we are colluding with our own enslavement and the mistreatment of a sister.
We start conversations with the words: “Help me to understand why you…?” or “Can you see the other ways that … could be interpreted? “Tell me about your experience, so I can understand how … affects you?” Then we listen.
We can do this work.
We are built for this kind of precise presence and listening.
We connect relationally and create community.
We will disagree, argue and we will not see eye to eye yet we will stand for the ‘woman’ in each other.
We are called to this worldly conversation surrendered and disarmed.
We must open our ears and seal our lips until what may pass is pure truth and collectively conscious.
We are not here only for ourselves but we are here for our own experience.
We can bump into each other, stand back up, look each other in the eye and say, “I see you, sister, I know you are doing your best. I am too. Now let’s both do our next moments better with what we just learned”!
We will not all be friends, we will not all love each other, but we will all know what it is to be Woman.
